Grace Klein Community
I had the honor of interning with Grace Klein Community, a local nonprofit organization in Birmingham, Alabama. As a Social Media Marketing intern, I created content for all their social media accounts and assisted with newly implemented strategies. Below is a collection of content I created for GKC!
Photo Post
The goal of the photo-based post was to educate the Birmingham area about how easy and simple it is to donate to Grace Klein Community. From in-kind donations to money donations, all of these are important and help those in need.

Video Post
The video-based content was centered around showcasing the cost-friendly way of donating. The "dollar store" visit in the video educates people on what to buy, where to buy, and where to take it. The target audience for this post was college students and those who have benefited from GKC in the past; wanting to give back.

Campaign Creation
I spent time creating a detailed social media campaign that GKC could utilize. This campaign is called "Harvest Heros" and spreads awareness about food waste and food rescue through a social media donation contest. Utilizing the hashtag "RescueTheHarvest," the Birmingham community can get involved with a chance to win a prize giveaway.

Recommended Partnership
Samford University Greek Like
Samford University Greek Life could be a great partnership for GKC due to their large population and willingness to serve. Sororities and Fraternities are known to have large social events that provide food, leaving plentiful leftovers after. Not only would Samford Greek Life assist with food rescue, but also generate more volunteers and raise awareness through their large population.

Recommended Influencer
Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe is the starting Quarterback at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He has a large social media presence due to his success and would generate awareness of who Grace Klein Community is. Only being 45 minutes from Birmingham, he could potentially come and serve for a day. This way he can post original content that entices others to volunteer/give to GKC.
Volunteer Story
One of the highlights about interning with Grace Klein Community is the opportunity to volunteer! I was able to serve at their "Community Outreach Hall" where we sorted clothing, food, and other donation items. It was a blessing to see what all goes in to help those in need.
